nice place close to Dinant

the castle offer a nice environment and a nice walk. We knew the price because we checked in advance on the web site and we entered anyway. But 8 euro is too much.

We all loved it. :-) My 2 nieces got to dress up as princesses and couldn't be happier. Lots of historical artifacts to keep adults interested as well.

Drop in if you are passing. No there isn't masses to see but it has some interesting history, been carefully kept/renovated and the children get to dress up as knights and princesses!

This is the first castle our family has visited. When I want to see a castle, this is what I expect the outside of it to look like. It was small but nice. We were finished touring the castle within 1.5hrs. Some of the exhibits were lack luster but the wood and stone in the castle were nice. You must... More

This old castle in the Ardennes is one of the oldest castles still inhabited by the family that originally owned it.It is also one of the most imposing in Belgium ; modernisation and alterations have not changed the wholly medioeval character. For 8€ you can visit the furnished rooms on 2 floors, but the most impressive thing about it is... More

I’m not sure how this castle is so highly rated; perhaps I’m jaded from having seen too many awesome castles elsewhere. It is beautiful from the outside, but there is very little by way of grounds, so you’re basically going to photograph it from the parking lot. It was a bit confusing about where to go from the parking lot,... More

We came on a weekday, knowing in advance that it was closed. We sat in the car, in the pouring rain, facing the beautiful castle and eating our sandwiches. The rain prevented us from walking around and appreciating the castle more.

Amazing views and wonderful staff. The kids (aged 2-15) dressed up, battled in the courtyard with swords, ran around the grounds and respectfully toured the interior. The staff was very laid back and it never really felt like a museum. It's a smaller castle and not as impressive as the larger castles but the experience is my favorite one so... More

This castle is in a picturesque valley and is an easy visit. Convenient parking and inexpensive admission fees. It was not crowded which made it nice on a warm Belgian afternoon. Worth a visit and it only takes about an hour. Plenty of time to do lunch or dinner in Dinant on the river.

Fantastic visit. They castle is small and you can visit it in a hour. It is fully furnishes so you can see how they lived. It's got a lot of history and a great explanation book. The staff is helpful and young children are provided costumes to enhance their visit and retain their attention. wonderful afternoon.
