We visited this chateau and went on a guided tour. The tour was in French but we were given notes in English. Also the guide did tell us some information in English. Very lovely home and beautiful gardens. As it is the owner's home, you only see four main rooms bug still worth the visit. Very friendly staff.

When we visited the chateau there was a craft fair on at the same time, which added to the interest. Tours are guided in French but there is an English folder of the main points for each stop on the tour, so if you can't follow the guide you can at least get the gist of the story of the... More

Nicely presented chateau. The rooms were nicely furnished in keeping with the time it was built. The dining room was particularly well presented. Had a well stocked gift shop.

This is a hidden gem. A beautiful chateau rebuilt in the early 19th century and still lived in by the owners. It is set in vast parkland much of which is open to the public. You can only see the inside of the chateau with a guided tour so as to avoid people wandering into the private quarters. We were... More

We were on a river cruise but did this on our own after visiting Monets house and gardens earlier with the group. It was a long walk up and around to the gates but once there it was a lovely tour given in both French and English and we even had an impromptu performance given by a member of the... More

On our recent Seine river cruise, this was our first port to explore. Our choice of excursion was this lovely chateau first built in 1675 and reconstructed in 1740. The place is rich in the history of the royalty who have owned the property and lived there. We were treated to a cider tasting with a colorful presentation of the... More

Vast and very beautiful chateau in an urban area, but in a large parkland setting. The chateau can be seen by joining a conducted tour group, for which unfortunately we arrived too late. Several foundtains and water features on the grounds, and a few others which are not in use and have fallen into dis-repair. The grounds alone are worth... More

Pleasant interior. Gardens mediocre the cascade of water was not very well maintained and the small ponds at top and middle were thick with slime. Our guide in the house was very helpful and knowledgeable.

On a whim we left the A13 between Rouen ind Versailles and found ourselves near Chateau de Bizy. The tours are 7 Eur which includes walking around the gardens as well as an informative guided tour through the castle. This is a stark contrast to the exorbitant rates Versailles castle charges. The tour was done by a woman from Virgina... More
