There are multiple viewpoints that overlook Mosteiros Beach and the huge rocks in the Atlantic Ocean. There a raw roughness to the view, simply beautiful!

Nature around here is full of dark colors from the vulcanic stones that draw beautiful forms entering the sea and contrasting with the ocean's blue. However considering the amount of beautiful places S Miguel has to offer, there are similar and even better places to...More

Stopped in Mosteiros for lunch as we were touring the island by car. Had coffee, toasted sandwiches and Pastel de Nata ( custard tarts) from a wee snack bar by the beach . It was beautiful watching the waves crashing on the rocks. Some people...More

Not crowded. We found parking easily. Very cheap bar at the entrance. The beach has a vivid underwater life. I saw an octopus for the first time in my life in its own habitat. Also a lot of fish here.
