The most impressive part of this old cathedral is the large rose window at the front entrance. The detailed carvings in the soft limestone is also incredible. also, look out for the local lady who is the self-appointed guardian and keeper of the cathedral. She...More

Beautiful old town centre and small cathedral that’s as interesting outside as inside. Magnificent frescos and ornaments. If you are driving around Puglia don’t not miss this place. I had the impression it may be particularly magical at night in summer time.

A caretaker lady greets you and won’t stop chattering nonstop until you give her a contribution. The cathédral has parts from the 1200’s and 1400’s and beyond. The ceiling frescos are preserved well. The sculptures are more Eastern Orthodox.

Walking up the road to the hill within the village gets you to a small square where the Cathedral of Ostuni is located. Very beautiful painted ceiling inside. Don't be so rude to not give the old lady inside some money upon request. She might...More

Big. Central point in the old city. In the main square. Pop in to experience some peace and calm from bustle.

The outside facade of this cathedral is very nice. It's located on the top of the hill in Ostuni. Worth a visit.

Located in the charming old town of Ostuni. Cathedral is on the hill top and features a wonderfully decorated stone facade.Relatively small interior featuing many painted panels to ceiling and walls. Shot uphill walk behind the cathedral leads to spectacular views of the Adriatic sea.

Of course every town in Italy larger than a cross-road has their own cathedral-like church, or two or three. This is the one in Ostuni adjoing the plaza - just about the only large level space in the old city. Pop in to see the...More

I have been amazed by the beauty of this city. The duomo piazza was nicely decorated with lights since it was a celebration ongoing to honour their Saint, San Oronzo.

Ostuni is charming, except for the hoards of tourists. It is impossible to park and there are simply too many people crowding its narrow streets.
