Very nice place to walk around. Barbecue possibility. Lake and small water. You feel relaxed in beautiful nature. Jogging would be a pleasure here as well.

These are beautiful fresh springs that eventually run into the ocean. A lovely trail for walkers winds along the river. Official picnicing spot with large area for children to run and play unsupervised. The only day NOT to go is MAY 1st when hundreds of Portuguese flock here to picnic on May Day. An unspoilt quiet nature spot.

Beautiful historic canal systems that you can swim in on hot days. The water is so clear but it is extra cold, so perfect for a hot day in the algarve! Can get popular on the weekends/holidays with many locals coming with picnics, but there is plenty of room for everyone! Lots of picnic tables, BBQs, children's playground, walking nature... More

We were brought to the springs by our tour guide on Jipe safari. A lovely place for a picnic, stroll or just to relax. Playground for small children and walks through the park land. The spring pool was very busy with school children on a trip when we visited but it was lovely to see them enjoying themselves. It Is... More

Visited on a Sunday when the area was alive with family parties making use of the picnic area and BBQ. Children were enjoying the fresh water swimming pools and the fitness trail was obviously a pull for young and adults alike. We had a lovely walk along the banks of the river and will look forward to returning to see... More

Visit outside the peak summer season. The place is very nice, a merger between the well-being and nature. Great space to hold a picnic with the kids. In the summer should be more confusion but in the summer is always in this area. Good also for a canoe ride too. A good choice for a different afternoon.

A lovely spot for a quiet picnic or a family day out. The fontes mean the springs, here there are salt water low lying water, mixing with fresh water, picnic tables, an old abandoned stone water mill make for lovely photos. F you take any of the trails leading from the fontes you may well see a variety of bird... More

This is just outside Estombar and is used in summer as an educational area for youths. Out of season, it is quiet and scenic. See all the different flora and fauna of the area including a small estuary. For the fitness buffs there are several stations around the pathways to exercise while jogging or riding a bike.
