It's always a pleasure. Especially this time of year when the tourists have yet to descend. Come June, July and August it is extremely crowded!

Hard to find, but so worth it once you do! Free beach, and the entrance is along a small road in a residential neighborhood but it's 100+ steps down to the beach. Totally serene with zero commercial activity, but absolutely a gem when you get there. Also lots of rocks to walk over or paddle board around them to get to the other side where there is even more calm and serenity! Wear those beach shoes to protect your feet, NOT slippers. Climb the tall rocks and dive off of them if you wish, I did! Totally worth it!

This was a gem. We thought we would explore a different inlet each day closer to the main town but after discovering this, this is where we came to every day. First day we walked along the path that winds around the cliffs and ended our walk here and realized we have to come back later that day. We ended up going there 4 times that week.

Parking access is easy as long as you don't mind walking up and down the stairs. We saw a mixed crowd of families, couples, teenagers, and 20 somethings. All wanted to be far enough away from hustle and bustle and all could only bring down what they could carry.

Kids absolutely enjoyed swimming. We had to force them to leave every day. HIGHLY recommend you bring a floaty (inflatable) for them to experience the waves. After 3pm in the summer, the cliff starts to cast a shadow and it extends through the afternoon.

The rocks/pebbles in the last 10 feet of the beach up to water are fairly sizeable. Bring shoes/flipflops that you can walk in if that sort of bare foot walking bothers you

Impressive and can be a bit small, especially if you want to visit in july or august. You could be patient in order to park close to it

You won't find this driving along the coast. You have to park and walk down the hundred steps to get to the beach. There is nothing there so do come prepared. The water is amazing and it's a beautiful little cove. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, technically you are so be careful. Great for snorkeling and relaxing. Best to bring reef shoes as the rocks can be very sharp.
Do come!

This beach is gorgeous. You feel like you've stumbled across an (almost) untouched corner of the costa brava. The snorkelling is good from here too. The beach is surrounded by rocky cliffs, rocks, and pine trees. Bliss!

Hidden in a corner of the Costa Brava under the Cap Roig and its botanical gardens, you find "El Golfet". Big enough to go with your family, small enough to be romantic it is a place for any taste. Good to swim or to dive from the rocks. The effort to get there pays the price but do not forget to bring all your supplies as you cannot buy anything on the same beach.
