This is a stunning area from the top of Symonds Yat down to the river side. Plenty of activities, from walking to Canoeing, birdwatching etc. etc. The woods are also home to many wild boar. A great unspoilt place to visit

Take the time and a short walk to the overlook. It is worth it for the views, excellent photos and to see if you can see the endangered birds. Great day for us...The benchmark on top gives you an idea of the hills surrounding the town....AWESOME!

What amazing & picturesque place this is. Lovely walks, perfect scenery & the views from the viewing platform are amazing. Whilst there we were lucky enough to see the buzzards nesting - make sure you take binoculars/telescope. If you love walking we would definitely recommend this place - you will not be disappointed.

Downsides: The leisure park in general is quite run down looking, lots of the arcade machines didn't work properly or ate our money, it was mostly gambling machines but there were a few family games too... The cafe & shops were all closed - I'm assuming this was due to it being out of season. Upsides: Most of the games... More

You can drive up in the car for the best views of the Wye valley or as some have said a good trek for the fit and healthy.

I came here as a kid and remember the walk up from the village to the view point took all day and was stupidly steep. . May be 35 years later i'm fitter than i though . You could easily spend the whole day doing the various walks and to see a Nuthatch at the view point after seeing a... More

Walked from Symonds Yat East up to the ' Rock ' Views from the top especially on a day like today were stunning. Then watched the canoer's doing the slalom. Great way to spend a couple of hours.
