I visited Murchison falls national Park on good Friday easter of 2017. The park is found in Masindi district. The park is vast and the biggest in Uganda. You see alot of baboons in budongo Forest on your way to the ferry. My main purpose of the visit was to see the top of Murchison falls. The view is epic.... More

This is such a beautiful place to go to enjoy the beauty and power of nature. A wide variety of wildlife and the falls are stunning! You must see them with the boat tour but also, a completely different view from the top. Sparkles on a sunny day! You'll have no regrets for journeying to this amazing world of nature!... More

This Is a nice park. We didn't do game drives we just went inside the park with a private hire we arranged in Masindi (260,000 Ush from 9 am to 7 pm). We came in early in the morning (9:30 am). It Is a 30 minutes drive from Masindi to the south gate of the park, then two more hours... More

This was the first time our family ever visited a game park. It was quite an expensive week end. The staying arrangements don't have options for families and hence we had to take 2 rooms which turns out to be expensive We arranged everything thru Paraa lodge ie the game drive and the Nile ferry cruise. Both were extremely fun... More

Murchison was definitely on our list when we planned our trip to Uganda. The country itself is so green and beautiful that, I think, it is one of those highly under rated places on the planet. The pitfall being, we have to pay for every single day inside the park. This means, you end up paying 100 odd dollars for... More

My colleague and I have taken students to East Africa every year for the last decade. After exploring other National Parks, we have settled on Murchison Falls. We stay in the park the night before safari, then do a game drive and water safari on the following day., all within the 24 hour window. The Falls are very impressive. The... More

the park is very wide and really attractive. Although entrance is not cheap, it's really worth a visit. Being on top of the plateau and seeing all the wild nature including the animals was a very exciting experience. The UWA guide who came with us was very helpful and gave us a lot of information. Happy to have been there

We drove though this park twice on our stay there. We went for a morning drive and late afternoon drive. We were lucky to see lions, elephants, bushbuck (which normally are very shy), lots of giraffes, buffalo, silverback jackal, hyena, oribi, kob, and many more animals. If you stay on the opposite side of the park you will need to take... More

It is kinda difficult to get the top of the falls. Long unpaved road is just suitable for "african massage" but at the end you find nice waterfall. Have picnic over there :-) beautiful view of the Nile river. When you around it is worthy to see.

Getting to this National Park by road is a long drive. The Park itself is big, and their is plenty of game to see. However, the Park is dirty with plastic bottles and other garbage on the side of the roads and around the lakeshore. Entrance fees are not cheap.!
