A great place for all runners

The OBS is a beautiful serene place however I was saddened to see the state of the roads which are as usual not maintained well by the authorities.

This is literally in middle of the Noida...almost...next to river yamuna, it attracts lot of birds during winters and bird watchers too...They had started charging a small fee to stop people in using the road which runs next to yamuna for regular commute. Winters are a good time to visit, if you are keen bird lovers. Carry your binoculars, and... More

Our birding group visited Okhla on our first day in India. We didn't have as long to spend there as we would have liked. We were without guide, on our first trip to India, so we undoubtedly missed things, but we found things like a single tree with both a Brown-headed Barbet and a Coppersmith Barbet. The Sanctuary is difficult... More

This is a bird sanctuary, not a bird garden - so it does not have birds in cages but wild birds that may be difficult to see. It is best during the migration season (like now, December) when migrating waterbirds and other birds pass through on their travels. It will always be great for wild bird lovers with binoculars, cameras... More

My personal experience is very bad with this sanctuary. I went here today (04/12/2016) with my wife and kid. This bird sanctuary was under my expectations, I was surprised to see that there were very less birds (I can say no birds when U come to sanctuary). I hardly stayed there around 40 mins and came back. This is my... More

I entered the Sanctuary in afternoon, 30/- INR entry charges. I watched some owls, nightingales, herons, eagles (always flying in the sky), crows (more) and some other colorful little birds. The place is very peaceful. Overall its an average sanctuary, I left after sunset , you capture sunset with the birds in river.

This place is well hidden in the hustle and bustle of Noida and I never realized that it existed. To know that I pass by this place every time I go towards Delhi is astonishing. A tranquil place to come and pass time if you are looking for a bit of peace. But there is a lot of scope to... More
