I was 1 of only 2 people looking around, and enjoyed it very much. I learnt a lot, and saw a lot of native orchids that I had heard about. They also have a few interesting insects and things knocking around.

An informative guide and many lovely plants. As many orchids grow quite high up this is your best chance to see many of these close up.

I have only known the kinds of orchids that you see in grocery stores. I never knew those were hybrids bred to live longer and not natural orchids at all. I also had no idea that there were so many hundreds of kinds of orchids...More

The guided tour was interesting enough, and the guide very knowledgeable, but for the price, I'd have trouble recommending this to anyone but an orchid enthusiast.

We arrived just before a tour was to start and both the reception fellow and the young woman who guided us were friendly, knowledgeable and humourous. While there wasn't an obvious profusion of colour, once we were shown what to look for, it was amazing!...More

We were going to just wander around and look but decided to take guided tour. I'm glad we did because we wouldn't have even noticed some of the tinier orchids. Very interesting and we had lunch at the cafe next door

Yes, they are in bloom. However they are all of the miniature variety that grow from/off of other plants and trees. Do not expect to see the large ones that we are used to here in the USA (they do have a few in the... More
