Kids would love this

The frogs are in special terrariums, so it is not really a frog "pond". Also not very easy to see the frogs without a guide pointing them out. Our guide was excellent and I... read more

Colorful poison dart frogs, frogs that eat chickens, translucent glass frogs, and the beautiful red legged tree frog were just some of the frogs we enjoyed learning about during our night tour at the Monteverde Frog Pond. Our guide, Alan, was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining, and good with both kids and adults. We visited after dark (around 6:30pm) and were glad... More

We loved this informative tour of the frog enclosures. It's difficult to see these tiny creatures in the wild, so this was the next best thing. Our guide was very knowedgeable, great at finding hiding frogs, and an expert with getting pictures with my iphone. Yes the frogs are in enclosures, but they are large and natural looking. We went... The frogs are in special terrariums, so it is not really a frog "pond". Also not very easy to see the frogs without a guide pointing them out. Our guide was excellent and I learned more than I thought possible about these little creatures. Almost impossible to find them in the wild, especially in the dry season. Certainly worth a... More

Went here because the weather was so bad. It was a good call !. We saw lots of frogs (even though it was day time). Blue Jeans, Glass, Poison Dart you name it, they had it. The guide was in the price for a 45 minute tour. Really friendly staff got us a taxi as the weather was so bad... More

We visited on the 11/01/17 and did a guided tour for $13,50. Our guide Alonso made knew a lot and made the information easy to understand and fun to listen to. Even tho we came in the afternoon we saw a lot of cute frogs. They recommend to come back after 6pm since most frogs are nocturnal. Thank you!

Your entrance ticket gets you a guided tour (which we recommend only if the group total is six or less, otherwise it's too difficult to get to the front and see the frogs). Your ticket is good for two days usually. We went at night at first - most of the frogs are more active at night - then went... More

We visited this at 7pm at night when the frogs are active. The tour guide's included - you just need to ask! Our guide David was great fun and was knowledgable about frogs and more! He warned us not to use flash as it is harmful for the frogs' eyes, he sounded really concerned about their wellbeing which was great.... More

Our tour guide was gracious, interesting and informative. The frogs were colorful and we got great views! Note that this is best viewed after dark.

We went to visit the Frog Pond in Monteverde. We had a very nice guided tour. The guide was very friendly, knew a lot about frogs and other insects...he really captivated our 7 year old son. I highly recommend this tour.

Our guide Davi was fabulous. We saw the most amazing, beautiful frogs, took wonderful photos, really enjoyed the visit. Saw so much more than we ever could in the wild, learned about many beautiful frogs who we saw close up. Loved it! Davi even took us outside to see a sloth!
