    It’s amazing
It’s amazing. Not hard to climb although it might be more difficult with children I guess. The ticket is 3 eur per person. I recommend to climb it in the evening because it has a great view. Also it is dog friendly place.

    Reached by a zig-zag path
The lower of Omis’s Old Town fortresses is the Mirabella, reached by a zigzagging path that begins behind Omis’s parish church. Considered the symbol of the town, this fortress was built in the 13th century. It may come as no surprise to learn that the pirates of Omis used this fortress as a lookout over the sea and a hideout. A steep scramble up staircases affords access to the roof of the tower for some fabulous views over the rooftops, the river and out to sea. But be advised that the stairs leading to the tower are in some places shorter and more slippery than the others. Although everything is well secured, I suggest you be especially careful with children. Views: priceless.

    Worth the effort
The start of the path up is not hard to find. Go into the old street area and close to the end of the street (nearest the river Cetina) you’ll see signs leading you up. The initial path is along a narrow path in between houses. You zigzag up and come to a ticket booth, €5 per adult at time of writing. The stone steps are old, worn through time, some narrow and uneven. As you approach the top the last section of steps are very steep. Metal hand rails are on either side. Once at the fortress you go inside and wooden staircase take you to the last section, a short metal ladder that takes you outside. The views are wonderful. The return journey is as per the way up. Do take care! Wheelchair access is not possible.

Amazing views from the top of Mirabella fortress of the whole town of Omis and River Cetina
Amazing views from the top. This is an easier climb and if you are fit, you can reach the top in 15 minutes. The entrance is clearly marked just to the right of when the old street area finishes(near Cetina river).

I visited Mirabella Fortress because of medieval history and it was a good one to visit. Nice old fortress on the Omis rocks is fine destination to look over the city of Omis and to know more about Croatian history. I would appreciate more information in form of paper quide, but google was helpfull. 20 kuna per person is adequate. Beware of getting the right shoes for this trip, because the stone of the fortress is guite sleaky/walked..

Fortress Mirabella (Provoca) is a nice castle located in Omis town, a wonderful town located, where Cetina River flows into the sea. We came here at the end of the last October and pitifully it was closed, so we only see it from outside. It is nice and I would like to return and visit it. In this travel only could take photos from far.

It costs 20 kuna to enter the fortress. The view is nice and you can see the entire Omis with the beach in front of you. Definitely must have been a good place for the pirates to hide in the past.

Went up here at 8.30am before the sun got hot. It was a steep climb but it’s not far. We were up in about 15 minutes. There are beautiful views all the way up of Omis and some cute little gardens on the way. It’s 30kn per person.

This the easiest of the two fortresses to get to. Simply fallow the signs in town. It will cost you 20 kuna per person to go inside. Once there you can climb up 3 levels and have a panoramic view of the city. There is also a little grass seating area where you can eat a snack or just relax.

After the climb up to the Peovica you will come to an access point where you have to pay to get in. If I had been notified of this a the bottom, I would not have bothered.

If you are in Omiš you have to go to Peovica or Mirabella, two names for one thing. View from there is just magnificent, you have whole Omiš on the palm of your hand. And price is just 25 HRK, or little bit more than 3€.
