This is not an easy hike! We were pretty much running down and It took an hour over uneven rocks. The uphill is very steep so leave extra time for this. Best done in the morning so you get there with sun on the beach. We got there in the afternoon and it was all shady. A good activity if... More

My wife and I recently visited il Golgo and had a wonderful day. We took the hike from the mountaintop to the seaside. The trail was well maintained and moderately challenging. Wear sturdy shoes suitable for rocky paths. The trail included incredible views, some historical structure and wildlife. A wild mountain goat even crossed our path. Well worth the 6... More

We followed the Lonely Planet's guide to get here, as did another couple that we met, and it doesn't get you there! Don't go to the Co-operative! If you're coming from Baunei then follow the signs to Golgo. This leads you up a windy road up the mountain and eventually you reach the Golgo plain. Continue on the road for... More

We visited a week ago and we loved it. This place is magic and it has an amazing energy. I would recommend to go early in the morning, the path opens at 7:30am and closes at 4pm. Bring water and some food and enjoy it as much as we did.

For the nature lovers and beach lovers one of the few hop on and off boat rides between Cala Gonone, Arbatax and Santa Maria Navarrese, but please be aware, respect this paradise as those who do not respect it will be prosecuted as it is protected. A must see in Sardinia. Motor boats restrictions apply !!!!!

It took me and my partner an hour to walk down to this beach, and only an hour and ten minute to get back up. We passed many people also doing this walk with proper kit and hiking boots and massive ruck sacks. You do not need all this, I wore a dress and trainers and only took a sandwich,... More

If you are going to be like us and decide to trek to this beach just hours before you are due to go to the airport - please don't. We debated that morning whether we should hire a boat and see all the beaches along the shore, or just trek to Cala Goloritze and unfortunately our sense of adventure and... More

Don't get me wrong....it is a beautiful beach. The walk in, although a hard hike is worth the view of an azure blue sea waiting alluringly for you. But the main draw back, everybody has that same dream you do of finding that seclude secret beach all to their selves. But you have basically reached a seal colony. It is... More

If you want to see Cala Goloritza is good to begin or end in Baunei - small town in mountains with very pretty church and very good gelateria. If you decided to end with Baunei you will stop on one of the viewpoints during your comeback from Cala Golirtza and see the town from up during the night. It's really... More
