too cold to hang out in December , but I could see having a blast during the Summer! Our guide says it gets like spring break there.

The area is quaint and is a great place to walk around. We went to a gift shop with very reasonably priced souvenirs, purchased 100% cotton traditional tablecloths from a linen store and were able to buy electric outlet adapters for 3.50 uros.

Enjoyed the beach area in town. Nice views. Walkable streets with restaurants, bars and shops. Nice stop on our driving tour around Terceira

There are several black sand beaches on the island of Terceria. Most are volcanic rock but in many areas they have made swimming "holes" with concrete paths allowing you to swim safely. The island is nice size being able to drive completely around the island...More
