What a beautiful walk with some breath taking views. Don’t forget to take a good pair of shoes though. Those rocks are sharp and pointy on your way back down. It’s an easy walk to do with kids.

Wonderful walk uphill taking about 40 minutes. On arrival the views are outstanding across the bay towards the Medas islands and to the south along the coast.

Nice hiking to the castle at the top of a hill not too far from the sea, which make the hike still bearable on hot day. It's not a hard walk, but it does not have shade, and can get very hot, so bring enough...More

Let's be honest my wife went right up to the castle and said it was worth the climb, I insisted that the plants growing on the hillside needed looking at so I only went halfway up!

So as you drive through the province of Girona, Spain you'll be able to see this distant castle on a high hilltop from almost anywhere you go. It's Montgri Castle and it will certainly arouse your curiosity. The hike is strenuous but not very long....More

I've never climbed up a mountain before but this was a good first choice. You definitely must have trainers or hiking boots as the ground, at points becomes rocky. Took an hour to climb. I would say you must have some good level of fitness...More
