We enjoyed a slow stroll through the preserve. Easy walk, nice views, good trail signs and nature signs. Good for families too.

It is quite a hike to the big falls, but the view is beautiful. Wear you r swimsuit...once you get there the water is cool and refreshing.

Very interesting place, however, we were limited to see entire place because some areas were blocked off for repairs.

Sorry for that! The bridges that permits access to all the trails are under construction til mid November more or less. If you have the opportunity to visit the area some time after that, You are more then Welcome. We've had lots of locals and visitor that experience the same situation, but as far as I know, the best is more... More

Thanks For visiting the Humacao Nature Reserve! Just a small detail: the beach at the end of the Reserve is not for bathing due to strong currents, no life guards, no limit buoys and no emergency easy access to the beach area. More

The trails and the grounds are well maintained. We spend the day on foot but there are bicycles available for rent.

We went to kayak with the family and loved the peaceful environment. Some of our party tried paddle boarding and enjoyed that as well. Great bike trails. Plant life is amazing. Different bird species and Iguanas all over. View from el Morillo spectacular. Adjoins the Caribbean Sea. Great time to spend with nature at peace.

It's a great place to have relaxing time with nature. It's a long walking trails that get you to the beach with nice landscape. Bring water and be prepare for the walks (especially with kids). The entrance, parking and walks are free, there is an option to do kayaking, biking or fishing for a price.
