The Tank Museum brings history to life, with the world's best collection of tanks and explosive live displays.

See almost 300 armoured vehicles as you explore seven powerful exhibitions. "The Tank Story" details tank history from 1915 to the present. "Battlegroup Afghanistan" transports you to the modern front line. In "The Second World War - Discovery Centre", you'll see the breadth of our unique collection plus "Fury" uncovering our involvement in the film. Following the First World War centenary commemorations, explore "The Trench Experience" and "Warhorse to Horsepower".

New for 2015, "Tank Factory" tells the story of the tank makers.

We had spent a day here over a year ago and thought we would "pop in" for another look. Well - 5 hours later and we emerged with our heads full of even more information. New exhibitions had been added and the Museum store was open to the public. We also asked for help with identifying WW1 armoured cars driven... More

The museum is a great day out for young and old. It is very informative with many interactive displays. In good weather there is good outside space. The cafe serves a selection of snacks at a reasonable price. Tank fest in June is worth a visit too.

I have two teenage boys who rated this number 1 on the trip. Very tastefully presented WWI to current displays. Interactive for the older child. Wonderful day out.

I have visited several times in the last couple of years. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The quantity and quality of displays mean you can't do it all, properly, in one day, so the annual pass is well worth it. This visit was a little different though - with some friends:- an "Access all Areas" tour. See the museum's... More

After a pleasant train ride from Bournemouth and a short can ride from Wool station I arrived at the Museum ready for an experience and that's exactly what you get. The entry of the museum is very modern, well maintained and presented and sets the scene for what you are about to see. The reception area and shop are brightly... More

Always wanted to visit here and not disipointed. Easy to find as it's well signposted. Once you've paid the entrance price (currently £13) this gives you access to all on offer and boy there's a lot to see. The price gives you access for one year apart from special events taking place. Their web site could do with a bit... More
