Granted the temperatures in July in Japan are ridiculously high, but don't let this put you off from visiting this place. Just ensure you carry some water. The park is lovely, they have everything you need, activities, picnic spots, barbecues, trout fishing and water sports. I went here alone and did not feel out of place, but I think with... More

A small park bursting with interests. A wonderful place to visit just to get back to nature. Blossom viewing in spring and changing red leaves in autumn with seasonal matsuri (festivals) Every 28th of the month they celebrate the spirit of the temple that is home to the park. A great experience in the spring in the beginning of April is Haname, which is enjoying watching the Sakura/cherry blossoms. And one of the nicest places to do exactly that is in Shimizu Koen (Clearwater Park) fairly close to Shimizu Koen Station.
