The gateway to Brač via the ferry from Split
Supetar Bay constitutes the town of Supetar, a small, unassuming, yet nicely preserved medieval port town. There are plenty of restaurants along the bay (the prices range from medium to high), and the views of the mountain ranges from across the water are glorious. Not too much time is needed to a explore the little backstreets as Supetar is rather small (but undeniably charming). Instead, follow the bay with the sea on your right and wander until you reach beyond the town to reach the beaches.

Good base for exploring the island
Supetar is a good location to stay for first time visit to Brac and easy to explore the island by local bus or car. There are regular ferries to and from Split which is about €22 return for a foot passenger. Lots of nice cafes and restaurants around the harbour and side streets. There's some quieter beach/swimming spots in either direction out of town which are an easy walk. Swimming shoes are a must as the beaches are pebbly. The water is so clear and safe for swimming. A good place to have a coffee and enjoy an amazing view is at the cafe located inside the Tommy Hypermarket on the edge of town! For a sunset view visit the rooftop bar at Hotel Osma. The Floradora cocktail is delicious.

    Lovely picture postcard town
Supetar bay and harbour is a lovely picture postcard town , with an array of little shops , stalls and fabulous bars and restaurants with pretty views . A couple of lovely beaches nearby Acapulco with a bar , Banj with cafes and bars and sunbeds to hire and Tri Mosta . The bus and ferry terminal is just to the side of the bay with ferry connections to Split and the buses to the towns close by , all run frequently with timetables from the visitor information kiosk.

Beautiful little village on the Croatia island of Brac. We were there on May 12 and were disappointed to find all the shops were closed due to it being a Sunday! 😢 Tip: Dont visit on a Sunday…also it was still early in their tourist season, so some of the hotels were not yet open.

Luckily, we had our bathing suits, so we got into the water a bit. (MUST HAVE WATER SHOWS…Rocky beaches with some sea urchins ).

We had a lovely lunch and made our way back to Split on the ferry.

We took the car ferry from Split and disembarked in Supetar which was a small pretty town. I read that there was not much to do here but we made a quick stop to snap a few picture.

We randomly wondered down to the ferry port in Split, Croatia while on holiday from Manchester, England and saw Supetar on the Island of Brac as a destination and so we took a chance and bought out tickets.

Ferry ride was 50 mins or so from Split, We absolutely fell in love with Supetar, The little bay, Church and the amazing pebble beaches(Best bit of advice is buy water shoes) and the clearest waters I've seen.

Friendly locals, Quiet beaches and just a great experience.

5* from us.

Although almost the end of the season we still managed to have great weather, get in the Crystal sea and get around the island easily. Many if the tourist olive tasting and little taverns were closed but main shops and restaurants were all open and no crowds of people anywhere.

This is a great place to spend a day with children! There is an excellent Wibit inflatable assault course. Day tickets are really reasonable! 150 kuna for the whole day. There are refreshments available, again cheap. Around the bay there are various other attractions, but this is by far the most touristy area of this part of the island. Distinct lack of loos though.

One of the loveliest little towns I've ever seen. Enough restaurants and bars to give you options. It's clean and feels really safe. I recommend Pub Beer Garden for food and an excellent drinks menu.

We stayed in Waterman Svpetrvs Resort and had a daily evening walk to Supetar Bay which is a city centre. Very nice cosy old town, small restaurants. Do not miss excellent choice of ice cream just near Barbara/Pallute restaurants. There is a small tivoli/park with lots of activities for children just some 200 meters from Bay if you follow Put Vele Luke street. It is open during evenings only.
During the day time we dropped by local fruit market which is in city centre ( ul. Mladena Vodanovića 2) , fish market is also at same place.
