This is the house in which Dr. Carl and Bertha Benz used to live until their death. Adjacent to it one finds the world's first garage. All located in a lovely park next to the river Neckar.

Everyone should spend their first 2 days in Germany in this lovely, old German town. Great hotels and restaurants. Lots of playgrounds for jet-lagged kids. Beautiful half-timbered homes. The locals all speak perfect English and are so friendly!

Ladenburg is really worth a visit if you're in the Mannheim area. The Benz house is where Carl and Bertha Benz lived after they (and I do mean THEY) achieved success with the automobile. Their first factory is 10 minutes down the main street in town and is a WONDERFUL car/motorcycle museum. The house is worth a tour with activities inside for children, and artifacts that will interest adults.

Another excellent Museum and we spent hours here looking at fantastic cars. Well worth a visit more than once and we shall be returning during another holiday. So glad we go over as there's so many Museums worth visiting and of course the Country itself is stunning. We've been 27 years now overland the 1000 miles from home to Bavaria Garmisch-Partenkirchen and stop over so can visit other places too.

Great architecture. This house is now used for intern business courses for the employees of Mercedes Benz.

Part of a two-day meeting in this extraordinary light, transparent and historic house, home of Karl Benz and his family. Wonderfully preserved interriors with views on all sides. A replica of an early automobile model in the basement. The house is in the town centre and two minutes away from the Neckar, separated by a garden. A lovely visit that will stay in your memory -- don't miss other attractions in Ladenburg.

Here is the birthplace of the person who invented the car. This beautiful home is a great place to visit! If you find yourself in Ladenburg, you should see it!
