This is a great stop when touring the area. The old mill is most idyllic, there is a restaurant serving fantastic home made smoked goods, tortes and other local produce. You can purchase home made speck and sausage, honey, jam, schnapps etc. in the food shop, while the gift shop has a great range of various souvenirs. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

We picked the best time to visit…! Winter. It was cold, almost dark and raining.

We arrived to this warm, snug attraction, where we were warmly greeted. Had a good look through the place and then I bought a selection of cured meats because we just don't quite get the variety and quality of what was available as a every day access alows in Germany.

Basic food, large portions and very nice scenery. But to be honest- nothing really special- just a nice place to stop along the way. We just came for food.

place suggested by friends. Navigation put us through such a discovery road, that was scary and fun. The place looks like from fairy tale. Worth to take a stop and just relax, specially if weather is nice, because sun gets really warm even in winter

We expected to see some walking area or something special. It was ok but a waste of our time to find this place and leave after half an hour. There were a souvenir shop and a cofee shop i think...

I don't know why we stopped here in Furtwangen. Driving small roads we just ran into it. It looked interesting. The waterwheel was made for a postcard picture. We entered a shop where they had Black Forest wood carvings and my frau just had to have one.

I must say that the best thing about this site was the way to it. Amazing narrow road going down to the valley. The site itself is basically a shop and a caffe with a watermill. Worth the ride not worth the stop.

We (2 adults & 2 children) ate here. From the children's plate with spaetzle to the venison ragout and tarte flambée (homemade!), everything was delicious
