Nice views coastline if weather is ok out. Great views and ok waters. Plenty of things to see from the boats. Pick a clear day out.

The cliffs in Rügen are beautiful, but we mistakenly thought the +9€ ticket was entrance fee for the National Park - but it was for the UNESCO Visitors Center (small exhibition, cinema, playground and the viewing platform Köningsstuhl). Don’t go in. It’s not worth it,...More

Finally I’ve found a place in Germany with nature that I really really like! First place where I've been to (in Germany) where the forest and the sea feel alive! I really felt in love with this place and the Jasmund National Park that surrounds...More

We took the boat trip from Sassnitz to see the cliffs. The advantage is that you have the best views of the cliffs and some interesting explanations (in German).

Drive to Sassnitz and drive along the main road. At one point inside the main road takes a left towards the "Königsstuhl", leave the main road and keep going straight ahead. Drive until the forest starts. Then look for a parking lot nearby. Start walking...More

Being from the UK and having tons of beautiful coastline,to pay to see bog standard beaches and bland fields is ridiculous. I appreciate the german coast is not pretty in most places but this is stupid!

First of all you need to park 2km away and walk or take a shuttle bus. Then, unless you are interested in the museum, which i did not see(dogs not allowed in) but could be interesting, the entrance fee is high for not seeing a...More

These cliffs look more tropical than at the nothernmost island of Germany. The Chalk clifs are beautiful but can only be seen from above at the National Park. There are a few paths down and going down to walk on the beach is worthwhile, but...More

The Kreidefelsen cliffs are a must see in the area. However, you will only get a good view of them from the sea. So I highly recommend taking a boat trip from Sassnitz harbour, which takes about 90 minutes. If you want to visit Königsstuhl,...More

Hi Bruce, the stairs (approx. 450 wooden steps) are the only way up and down to the beach. The wide enough if you need to take a rest somewhere along the descent / climb. I didn't go by boat to see the cliffs but I could... More
