Meet the wife in Achill back all that time ago. Keem Bay has many happy memories for us. Great beach. Plenty for grandchildren to do while I have a snooze😁.
A bit of a drive to get there. Nice to see food and drink vans...More
The little jewel at the end of the road. Quite simply a stunning little beach about as far west as you can go in Ireland. The drive out over the headland is a thing of beauty and should be seen by everyone at least once...More

Keem Bay and it's white beach and turquoise water made me fall instantly in love with Achill Island. Even though there were clouds clinging to the surrounding mountains, it was actually warm enough to go for a swim (well, at least for the locals).
Spent a couple of beautiful days in keen while home on holidays. The kids had a brilliant time. The water was surprisingly warm, and the kayaking is a great new addition. Tasty treats adds to the old school beach feel. No where like it.
Hard to believe this beach is in Ireland never seen a beach in Ireland like it looks like a beach in the Mediterranean, still feels like Ireland if you get into the weather don't let the beautiful sand and clear blue water fool you.
