This ancient church with its numerous, ancient, stunning frescos is a visit that one should absolutely not miss. The frescos are indeed a sight to behold.

the village around the church is just sad, there is nothing. Works are ongoing, so you can't see the facade and inside the Church you have to pay to switch on the light and a couple of old padrinos are watching at you any step...More

I went here on the recommendation of my italian professor....not knowing anything about it! It is absolutely superb and well worth going out of one's way to see. It is about 25kms south of Lecce
