- DKossmannCampton, New Hampshire93 contributionsA positive experience despite the crowdWhen we pulled up we were nervous because a large bus load of tourists arrived at the same time that this was going to be a tourist trap. The one negative is that this venue caters to large tour groups and there are crowds of people. Despite that we had a very nice time with attentive service (thank you Ruberto and Danielle), plenty of delicious wine and delicious food.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten September 22, 2023
- Annette W7 contributionsA Superb ExperienceMy wife and I visited this vineyard and olive grove this past July while on a Princess Cruise. The visit was quite memorable, but the best part of it was the balsamic vinegar served during a brief lunch served at the facility. Normally I don't get excited about such things, but this vinegar (made on the premises) is the most superb I have ever tasted. I have since had several bottles shipped to the U.S.. This is a stop in Italy I hope to see again some day!Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten September 26, 2023
- Tour162112117361 contributionWonderful ExperienceThis dinner and wine-tasting event was one of the highlights of our Italian adventure. The staff, especially Illaria, was so warm and welcoming. Our group of four were there for dinner and a wine-tasting. The food was delicious and of course, the wines were top-notch. We would definitely recommend visiting this winery but be sure to stay for a meal.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten May 31, 2024
- James MEdmonton, Canada4,642 contributionsWhat a great night for a group dinnerI came here on June 4/24 with my tour group which was an optional excursion to come here for dinner and see the vineyards where they talked about the different types of wines they produce and that it takes one full tree of olives that make only one bottle of Italian extra virgin olive oil. They provided us with a multiple course meal with drinks and dessert, the drinks were the 5 types of wine, water and for non drinkers like myself cola, they also had the olive oil and vinegar with bread to dip in the oil, dinner included items like olives, green fried tomatoes, some pate on bread, a soup which I don’t remember the type of soup, salad, and my favorite a roasted beef and big salted fries which the last 2 were my favorites. For dessert we had a sweet hard toasted bread type item. They had music and a singer as well during our meal and dessert, we were there for over 3 hours which we broke the record of how long any of the tours have ever stayed here. I had a great dinner and a fantastic night with the group of people I was on tour with, I would recommend this place. 4.75 out of 5 for a great place 4.25 out of 5 for really good food and the music 4.5 out of 5 overall for everythingVisited June 2024Travelled soloWritten August 12, 2024

We did the tour of the grounds along with a 7 course meal / wine pairing. Everything was incredible. Personally, I think they had the best olive oil and balsamic vinegar! Bonus points because they ship everything they make to the US which was SUPER helpful given that we didn't bring any checked luggage. Plus - adorable dogs!

Did a ground tour, tasted their wines, their homemade pasta, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and their skin and body cream. Then after eating, drinking and enjoying the experience, went into the gift shop and bought a few items to bring home. Oh my gosh, they are awesome, and i highly recommend a visit while you are in the Tuscany area.

We visited this farm and vineyard as part of a cruise tour so we had a group of 20-30. The vineyard tour is fairly short but interesting. We were able to taste grapes we picked off the vine. We were seated at a long table with groups of 6 wine bottles (3 white and 3 red ranging from dry to sweet) placed periodically down the length. Our host described each of the wines then lunch began. We were served a variety of dishes from bread to thin sliced meats to pasta to vegetables. All were amazing. Our experience finished with a sweet almond desert wine and biscotti. The highpoint for me was the olive oil and balsamic for bread dipping. The balsamic is amazing and I purchased a bottle to bring home. Don't miss this experience!

We had booked a wine tasting with light lunch for our group. First we had a tour in the vineyard. It was really nice, the guide spoke so good English and told a lot of interesting stories about Montecarlo, Il Poggio, wine making and olive oil making.
And the food: it was sooo good! I think it was the best meal we had while staying in Tuscany! All the starters, pastas and dessert were delicious, made from fresh ingredients!
We also had quite some many allergies in our group, but it was no problem at all for them. We hadn't got such a welcoming and friendly service anywhere else! I think our waiter was called Roberto and he was amazing!
Not to mentions those lovely bernese mountain dogs they had!
Highly, highly recommended!

As part of our tour of Tuscany we visited Fattoria il Poggio to see the workings of a vineyard. After the tour we had lunch and tried a number of their products and very fine afternoon was had by all.

I always take groups here to enjoy the unique and authetic Tuscan atmosphere, the friendliness of people and the excellence of local wine, olive oil and all local products which are delicious to the palate. The staff is simply amazing and the guests leave with unforgettable memories and the hope of returning.

Do you need Reservations. What is the cost.
Written August 11, 2019
Hi, I think reservation is needed, at least we had one. Our light lunch (which was super and really a lot to eat!) costs 35 euros per person, including wine tasting. The tour around the place costs 80 euros per group.
