This Palace has a long and important history in the Portuguese development. It is large and you do benefit from a guided tour. The gardens are lovely too.

This is a beautiful marble building in Vila Viçosa. Good place to have some pictures. Do not forget to also go to the near marble mines, distant 5 minutes.

We were there about 10.00am but went round on an organised tour with the travel company. Anyone who enjoys stately homes will love this place.
