This is a lovely, medium sized church on the main square of Vila Vicosa. Truly, there is little else on that square. We found it open and enjoyed a few minutes of meditation and exploration.

Somewhat bare and "cold" but the side chapels and main altar are definitely worth a closer look. It's free and it doesn't take a lot of time.

Jesuits got kicked out 1700s and this became the parish church. Its a beautiful serene interior and unlike some churches in Europe now, it seems cared for and well used.

Very nice, small church in Vila Viçosa. With lots of history and traditional architecture, paintings and art crafts.
