Great place to visit

Beautiful beach to stroll along. Lots of bars and restaurants. Good road links. Portimao and the marina were great places to walk around as well.

Praia da Rocha has become a year long destination for travelers who choose to get away from the rain and snow in the winter, to enjoy the warmer temperatures the Algarve region in Portugal has to offer. It should not surprise anyone, to see travelers from all over the world choose Praia da Rocha as their winter destination. When in... More

We have been to the Algarve many times and to a variety of resorts up and down the coast but Praia Da Rocha is honestly THE best place to go. The views are just fabulous, the locals cannot do enough for you and the food and drink in the many many restaurants (and we have been to them all) is... More

We stayed late January/ early February. The weather was 16-18c and it rained once and was cloudy twice. We could take 2 hour walks on the flat hard beach- perfect! Many of the restaurants are closed for the season but there are several still decent ones in the area( many in walking distance). Nice and quiet this time of year... More

Enjoyed a week here in January and was lucky with the weather. The beach is lovely and you can walk the beach or the boardwalk, there are plenty of cliff top walks too.

We loved the sandstone and the beach here. Spent hours just walking by the amazing rocks. Even more fantastic watching the sunset and seeing the rock change colour to spectacular golds and reds. A real joy and worth a stroll down by the stunning rocks
