On the website i thought it looked amazing, but i really dont get how they charge you 25 euro a person as an adult, its shameful. I paid 40 euro for me in my son and i feel conned.

The park is bad, the spaces for the animals small and the waterpark was just a small area and not as spectaculair as on yhe pictures/website, we have that across the road of our house and pay 7 euro for that.

I spoke to more people there and they all felt the same.

I have been here a number of times over the years, and unfortunately have to say that it is now a faded glory.
The exhibition, where in the past a large model simulated ebb and flow, has been stripped down even further by closing access to the first slide to the public.
The boat trip takes 15 minutes in a straight line and back, commentary is unintelligible.
There are many nicer water parks in the area for children.
The restaurant offers mediocre options.
For 27 Euro and a long ride for most visitors, this is not recommended.
The Delta Expo is certainly no longer an ode to the builders.

Not recommended, very expensive and everything is unkempt. The "attractions" are all shabby and in need of renovation. The pools for the animals are much too small. The topic of sustainability is addressed in the exhibition (plastic in the oceans) and is practically ignored there (e.g. only disposable tableware in the restaurant).
Children pay from the age of 3, although many of the "attractions" are only allowed from the age of 4. There were many tears.

Came back after many many years (then was storm and autumn) to take another look at the locks of stilbii. Was easy then, you could just walk into the caissons. Now parking at Neeltje Jans is at a long distance from the flood barrier and the road ends at a large building where you apparently have to pay 27 euros to see something..... so did not succeed in our goal😡.

We thought, gee, that seems nice to visit again after ten years. Children and grandchildren did not want to come, which in retrospect was a blessing in disguise.

The boat trip was fun, nice people and a lot of chatting. What you wouldn't do if there was actually something to see. The employee was very friendly and explained what was not there to see.
The movies were good, as was the photo gallery.
The walk past the windmill towards the water was okay.

Unfortunately, the rest of the park was a crying shame. We said “in a state of decomposition”!
The seals and sea lions are housed too small, and the “presentation” was also not worth seeing. Too bad, because the girls did their best to make something of it.

The whale inside was nice, but so poorly lit and the route indicated that we almost fell.
Exterior was dilapidated

In the restaurant, I have the feeling that the HAACP guidelines are not fully followed. Preparing food with bare hands, passing over the nose and leaving long hair uncovered.
The people did their best and were friendly, it must be said.

All in all I tried to make something of it, but the price of €27 pp is too expensive.

Tip:
Work on maintenance and appearance.

We left 100€ there (2 adults, 2 children) 60€ admission and 40€ food.
We are disappointed!
The outdoor area seems decrepit and dangerous to us! As parents, we didn’t have a quiet minute 😣 wherever there were slip hazards, pointed slippery stones.
The water play world could not be played on except for a few locks (broken or not repaired)
The park seems unkempt to us.
We couldn't see anything interesting about shipping.
The sea lion show does not correspond to any animal husbandry in 2024! Sad to show the children such a thing (habitat viiiiiiel too small and the expectations of the animals viiiiiiel too big) happy, free-living animals would have made us happier.
From the outside we could not recognize the “whale” anymore, too run-down is its facade..but inside it was nicely done. We liked the lights and sounds.

The area (museum,..) in the building was interesting.
We liked the plastic art exhibition.

The food was too expensive for what it was. We had to wait over 20 minutes. Which was a challenge with 2 small children.
Apart from that..the children were allowed to fish their way out of a vending machine cheaply - broken in no time - if they paid for a kids box.
Hello? In the museum, the children are taught that excessive consumption of pointless plastic that ends up in the seas is inadvisable and down in the restaurant, should they fish one out of a filled vending machine? There is something wrong with the concept and the moral attitude to environmental protection! very sad!

We cannot recommend the visit.
too expensive - unkempt - run down - dangerous

I understand the more negative reviews although we (2 adults & 2-year-old) had a nice day. The 27 euro entrance seems like a lot to many and it is because the aquarium, ocean museum and expo are small and nice but nothing more. And incidentally, the general state could use a refresher gradually. If you can use everything, then you come a bit close to what you can expect from the price. We already liked the short sea lion show (very close), turbine and the play areas. Agreed it's a bit slippery due to the algae and generally slippery surface + the normal slides didn't really go very fast. Our 2-year-old had a lot of fun there. It stands or falls with the temperatures! Minus was the seating that was too limited to the water part (you also saw towel lay unfortunately). My conclusion is that it is definitely worth a visit in pleasant temperatures with children 2-10 years.

15 years ago and I would have liked to show and explain this to my 14-year-old son.
I was ashamed that I let my family travel by car for 2 hours (single).
Before we got to the checkout we saw rests that had not been cleaned for months and 3 of which had clearly been broken for a long time.
Inside everything was just dirty!
The Park itself has become a waste, everything has become dilapidated! Hurricane machine receives 2 hours/guests, train no longer runs after 3:30 PM, 1 seal and 1 sea lion in a basin of barely 10m/10m.
You used to be able to visit the inspection structure inside the barrier, but now that is no longer possible and everything is in the dirty main building!
€27/person is absolutely outrageous!
3 person entrance, hamburger/fries (€13.5) and 4 colas (€3.95/40cl) cost us €140!!!
The biggest disappointment of recent years.

Outdated theme park that looks as if it has seen better days. Only the pavilion with the indoor exhibitions and the aquarium are of interest. Many attractions are only open to visitors during specific timeslots, which means that we missed several because we did not want to hang around all day. The all-in ticket is a bit of a rip-off if you only spend the morning at Neeltje Jans because the boat tour is in the afternoon and it is not possible to access all attractions in one morning. A sad sight were the sea lions and seals in their small basins. Shameful really to see these beautiful animals locked up in a park that claims to be also about nature conservation.

The background to the construction of this extremely impressive building is impressively presented. Good films and a beautiful exhibition give a good insight into the storm surge of the century and the extraordinary engineering feat that made the delta structures possible. Unfortunately, the hydraulic engineering model from the early years, which could have been used to trace the events of the storm surge very clearly, was decommissioned and now leads a sad, useless niche existence in a corner of the museum. It's a real shame. We would have liked a little more hands-on museum.
There is a lot on offer for the entrance fee. The cafeteria is expensive, as is usual in museums. Nevertheless: recommended!
