If you visit both museums on the same day, you will only pay one price. It’s a great deal, so allow 3 hours. The Mosaic Museum is very well designed and maintained. It’s amazing how everything has been preserved and protected. I enjoy the glass walkway which allowed me to see the old road below. Thank you Turkey!

Şanlıurfa Archeology Museum, which opened to visitors on May 24, was designed as a large complex. There are 14 Exhibition Halls and 33 Reenactment Areas in Şanlıurfa Archeology Museum. There is also a temporary exhibition hall where paintings, sculptures and similar exhibitions can be held, cinema rooms where promotional films are shown, a children's play area and souvenir sales units. In the Archaeological Park Area located between the Şanlıurfa Archeology and Mosaic Museum, there are examples of buildings that reflect the architectural features of the period, arranged chronologically, and places where productions for tourism purposes can be made, especially reflecting the art of the period. There is also an excavation training area where experimental archaeological studies can be carried out in order to better explain how excavations are carried out in the archaeological area, especially to school-aged children. Inside the Museum, the Exhibition Halls are visited in a chronological order, with animations, as a way of traveling in time, without boring or tiring the visitor. There are 5000 Artifacts on Display in Şanlıurfa Archeology Museum. In the Şanlıurfa Archeology Museum Exhibition Halls, Chronologically, Surface Finds and Reenactments Belonging to the Paleolithic Period, The World's Oldest Statue Made in Human Size "Balıklıgöl Man" Dated to the Neolithic Period, Göbeklitepe Excavation Finds and Reenactments of the World's Oldest Temple, Nevali Çöri Temple, Chalcolithic, Bronze, Iron The Most Important Works from the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine and Islamic Periods are Exhibited. Şanlıurfa Archeology Museum Has an Important Place Among the World Museums in Terms of Neolithic Period Artifacts. Artifacts from the World's Oldest Temple, Göbeklitepe, are exhibited in Şanlıurfa Archeology Museum. The museum is also important in terms of being the largest museum in our country in terms of indoor area and exhibition hall, being among the few museums in the world in terms of the number of animations, and having the longest tour route in our country with its 4.5-kilometer route.

In a beautiful park in the center of Urfa are two amazing museums - the Mosaic museum and the bigger Archeology museum.
A single very cheap ticket is valid for both of them. You need 2 to 3 hrs for a proper visit.

A superb celebration of recent archaeology including a number of sites overwhelmed by the new Ataturk dam. The replica of Göbeklitepe is really good to go inside.

I am so much impressed by this new museum. I can come back to Sanlıurfa many times with the sole intention to visit this place. My son loved the audio guide prepared for kids. I strongly suggest families with kids to visit this place before going to Gobeklitepe. While doing so do not miss visiting Haleplibahce mosaic museum which is right next door.

The city and its surroundings is full of history, and until today, still a lot is (to be) discovered. In the archeology museum you find from prehistory (Göbeklitepe and others) to Greek and Roman; the mozaik museum shows unique examples found on the spot and elsewhere. In both museums we loved the presentation and display of the artifacts.

the most interesting meseum. there is no need to visit Göbekli tepe . it is well presented at the meseum for the visitors.the representations are excellent. you should have travel guide with you to explain you all and for you to apreciate it.
most improtant fact about the mosaic museum is that it is built at the site were the mosaics are found.
the mosaics are good but not as good as the one you would see at Gaziantep

Pedagocic museum collecting the many interesting findings from the area in a pedagocic way, interesting for families, but I had the feeling, all the time, that lot of information is missed in the explanations.
