The guides were so fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly and totally bilingual. It was interesting seeing the history of the area from the Acadien vantage point. We also picked up some cool things at their shop. I found it an excellent experience.

Great setting, layout just right, interpretive guides in their period clothes were tremendous. They were very friendly and informative, clearly enjoying their work. The gift shop also suited the pioneer focus with homemade products including metal work from the forge, woolen accessories and preserves. There's also a café but our timing was not appropriate.

We visited the nearby living history museum, and thought we would get a bit more in depth information from the traditional Museum.

We were so fortunate to see this place and talk to the locals who work there on the last day they were open for the season at septembers end.Throughly enjoyed the history and how the early settlers survived and lived as told by their very own descendants. And the views are so picturesque.

Recommended by folks at Argyle By The Sea b&b that was nearby. Self guided walk about with people cast in roles as life was many years ago. A learning experience and conversations with them was a pleasure. Hard to leave, but we had a plane to catch. Hope to return some day.
