Our B&B hosts suggested we visit here. We were not disappointed. They called to make sure it was still open. It was open until 5. We arrived about 4:30. A young man gave us a great tour in the house/building. He seemed to really know what he was talking about and to enjoy being there. When 5:00 came, Bernice sent... More

We stopped here on the way back from the Village. Although some of the material reflected what we had already seen in the village, there was new material and some other artifacts. They also had a display of cameras (not really sure why) and a garden out the back. Both were interesting.

My favorite little wayside museum ever! The staff was amazingly informative and so very nice. The area is quaint and it is a little-known history of bias against an ethnic group. The live music was so much fun!

Came from North Carolina to do genealogy for a week and stopped by this museum. The tour guide knows her stuff and shared her wealth of knowledge with us. You can learn about surnames, gardening, early life, and a host of other things. We even purchased fresh made jams there. Will go back if I return to Nova Scotia. I... More

Recently shared a wonderful experience at the Musee des Acadiens des Pubnicos. It is a fascinating record of Acadien history and the people here are very welcoming and kind. They have a great knowledge of the culture and history and love to share it. My son and I went to explore our Acadien roots and we were introduced to some... More

The museum staff are well versed in their culture and are pleased to tell you about that. They are also very pleasant and don't rush through their presentations. Very nice!

Having recently met a local Acadian fisherman we were driving through the Pubnico peninsula and spotted the museum, so stopped to learn some of the local history. We were provided a guided tour by an excellent member of staff, with the tour being conducted in English, which is our only language. The tour provided an excellent insight into Acadian life... This museum was actually founded by a group of citizens in the 1970s who bought a house and started a museum in order to preserve their Acadian history. Throughout the years people have donated a variety of artifacts, so that now the first floor house and the second floor attic are loaded with many interesting things. You can tour the... More
