We had a personal tour of this museum which was perfect. Lots of insight into Acadian history and way of life. Very good value. Buy a joint ticket for this and the village down the road. The family names and how they developed an area of less than fertile land is amazing. Definitely recommend this place 100%

I went there to find information about my grandfather's family and was helped out by wonderful people. Not only did I get information but help using on line resources Then the unexpected as they had a love letter on file pulled from within the walls of my grandfather's house.

I came to this museum looking for information on Acadian history (perhaps a book - I bought 3) and a beginning for researching my Acadian family roots. The people in the museum answered most of my questions ... many esoteric because of my archaeological background and then they gave me a tour for my $3.00. They packed a lot of... More

I think admission was $3 a person, and included a guided tour, our best value on a two and a half week trip! This is a small museum, but full of interesting information about Acadien life. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We even got to hear two Edison phonographs play part of two wax cylinders! I can't imagine that... More

This was a great way to spend a couple of hours. Most of the people working there are passionate about their task, and are great resources for information about both the past and present.

Totally enjoyed this museum. Historical facts and artifacts. The staff was well-informed and passionate about Acadian history. A piece of the old dyke was uncovered and saved. Buildings of historical interest on the property, cooking the old way. Fascinating. Would go back in a minute.
