We enjoyed the tour. It gave us more knowledge not only about coffee in general but its history and production process in Colombia. You get to walk through the coffee fields and see people actually working. Our guide spoke English the whole time. The hacienda is very pleasant and lunch was good (COP12000/person/it's optional), local traditional food. All you can... More

They give you an explanation about coffee, the guide was friendly, but the tour was really nothing special and quite overpriced (in my lonely planet from 2 years ago, the price stated is half the price they asked now...)

We had a brilliant tour with Sergio - starting with a talk at the plantation house about how coffee is produced and what it means in Colombia for the people and the economy. This was followed by a long walk through the coffee plantation and ending up at the processing plant. Incredibly interesting - I will never drink coffee without... More

The tour through this coffee farm is good. It starts of with some theory about coffee in general, its history, the economy of coffee (not just columbia) and of course the beans themselfs. After that you get to walk around the farm with the same guide who answers all your questions thoroughly (or he says google it). To end the... More

We had been looking forward to this tour for months, and were very disappointed. The tour guide was difficult to understand, and didn't show much enthusiasm for her subject. A couple of people in our group who weren't able to walk the entire tour had been given a ride to an area near the processing plant, but then were never... More

This is the perfect place for a coffee tour. You learn almost everything about coffee production and everything is in smooth English. A pleasant tour from Manizales.

We were looking for a nice excursion to a coffee farm. Hacienda Venecia is one of the largest around Manizales and they offer a great tour around their farm. It begins with an informational presentation from the (english speaking) tour guide. At the end you'll know a lot about coffee and it origins. After you'll enter the coffeefield to learn... More

We enjoyed our day at Hacienda Venecia, especially the aroma identification segment, which was quite a unique addition in what was otherwise a fairly standard coffee tour. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the farm is beautiful. They pick you up and drop you off back in Manizales, and also offer a typical lunch (rather average and a little... More

We were excited to check out a coffee plantation and this place was perfect. They picked us up in the morning and dropped us back off near a bus stop to catch a ride back to Medellin. The information presented was really interesting and we learned a lot. We also had lunch here. Lunch was fine, but the tour is... More

Had a wonderful day the farm learning about coffee and getting a tour of the farm. Very informative even if you don't like coffee. The day starts with some coffee tasting and explaination of how coffee is cultivated around the world, then a description of the different tastes and smells. After that you get a tour around the farm with... More
