A full day tour to the remote and magnificent Northern Coromandel. Pickup in Coromandel town, and travel up the pohutukawa-fringed coast road. There is a full commentary. Look out for dolphins and orca! Then start your 10km (3-4hr) walk on the Coromandel Coastal Walkway, where the views are breathtaking. You are met at the end of your walk with refreshments, maybe have a swim, then you are driven back to Coromandel town. There is also a shorter 3km walk down a ridge-line and along the glorious Port Jackson beach - or you can just stay on the bus for the scenic drive! We own and operate Breakaway B&B if you want somewhere to stay

This was the most informative trip I can every imagine taking! The driver knew just exactly when to arrive at a selected spot for the best photos, knew everything from geology to history, botany to photography. Fabulous hike if you can do that part. If not, the ride alone is totally glorious. If I had to choose one place to... More

Michael was a great guide - he was very informative about all aspects of the local area on our bus journey to Fletchers Bay. We found it all so interesting and he had a great sense of humour too! We had perfect weather for the 3.5 / 4 hour walk which is literally stunning, with a welcome cup of tea/coffee... More

We were very grateful that we had Michael to drive us to the head of the walk. We learned a good deal on the way and would never have braved the full drive ourselves. The walk was AMAZING. It's winter, and we literally saw no one else for the whole 10km. It was wet and mucky (incl. sheep muck!) and... More

Michael was our entertaining driver and guide on our day trip to the north of the Coromandel peninsula. His knowledge (historical, ornithological, geographical and personal) was generously shared. Our vehicle was clean and comfortable on the unmade roads. Those who completed the 10km Coromandel Coastal Walkway received achievement awards.

We phoned at 8am and were picked up at our motel at 8:45 as they had space on that day's trip. After a short stop at the bakery to get provisions we set of on the drive to Stoney Bay. The drive was about 2 hours with a stop at the Stoney Bay campsite for coffee before setting off on... More

We did the walk the third time and it was again a pleasure for us. We had a private tour so we had a lot of stops to take great photos. The walk is one of the best walks in NZ. Great views on the track and a great welcome with coffee and cookies at the end of the walk.... More

Wonderful day trip in comfortable minibus with excellent driver & guide. Stunning scenery & a pleasure to be driven over roads rental cars cannot drive on. This was our best trip on this holiday. Would recommend to anyone wanting to see the best of NZ without having to drive themselves. Jenny Leicester UK

We mailed Michael to hear if we could participate in a trip. The only trip avaliable for us was the next day. This caused some problems for us because we didn't have any lunch to bring and we didn't have enough cash to pay for the trip. Michael solved both issues by bringing lunch from the local bakery and take... More

Michael picked us up at our location to drive to Mercury bay with a small stop at the small village of Colville. The drive was already very enjoyable as it felt to drive towards the end of the world, and we learned a lot more about Coromandel as Michael drove aus to Mercury bay and back from Stony bay. The...
