My circumstances were a little unusual... Had a private lesson set up in the afternoon at 2:30pm. Safari moved it up to 2:00pm which wasn't a problem. Hence, my pick up was at 1:30. They arrived a little early at 1:15, I made it to the front at 1:25 but they left without me.... I know this for certain because... More

Hi "GeoBoz", First let me say that I appreciate your review and having spoken to our entire office staff about this situation I have a much clearer picture of what transpired. You organized 1 surf lesson through your hotel, the Sunset Shack. You had requested a time of 2:30 pm to the front desk (Silvia). When Silvia called us to... More

Alejandro was our instructor to the Tamarindo beach, as soon as he heard about our interest in taking our first surfing lesson he made that happened the next day by offering us the best time to do the class. He took the time to explain us everything before we went in the water (from safety to tips to have the... More

My boyfriend and I spent 4 days in Nosara at Olas Verdes and took two surf lessons with Safari Surf. The entire staff was super friendly! Our instructor both days was Kevin. He was fun and a good teacher. We both were able to get up after only a few tries. We especially loved our lessons because we picked late... More

From the initial planning with Tim to the selection of activities with Marsi to the on site experience with Jeffrey, everyone at Safari Surf was committed to making sure we had a great experience. The instructors were fantastic and friendly--my kids all improved dramatically, as did I. Tons of great restaurants around and spectacular surfing. A great vacation adventure!

Our recent family vacation to Nosara was quite likely our best vacation ever. Kudos to Safari Surf School for helping to make it a special trip. Everything about it was fantastic: the surf, the people, the food, the excursions, the hotel, etc. Our kids (all of whom surf) had the surf sessions of their lives while there and credit instructors... I can't say enough good things about the perfect week we had at Safari Surf and at Las Olas Verdes Hotel (organized by Safari Surf) in Nosara last week. The accommodations were simple but wonderful and spacious. Amazing food. The surf school was incredible. Neither I (47) or my kids (14 and 10) had surfed and we were all up... More

Our children spent 5 days having lessons with Erick who is fantastic. They were incredibly flexible and did all they could to cater for your needs. We surfed for 1 and a half hours each day with them and then practised on our own with boards that we hired from them for a very good rate. The overall experience was... More

I run a small boarding school for teenage girls in northwest Montana. We took 14 of our students 6 of their parents and 5 of our staff members to Nosara for an international experience aimed at adventure, service, and cultural immersion. Safari surf helped us plan the entire trip and took amazing care of the 25 of us while we... More

The mix of instructors is awesome! Alonso taught me the techniques to get started on the white waves. Pio will get you to practice and repeat what you've learned. Marlon challenged me to hop on the small green waves. Kevin can spot a perfect wave for you from very far away. Luis will get you out passed the break and... More

We just returned from our first trip to Playa Guiones/Nosara. Our family of 4 had one intermediate surfer and 3 beginners. Safari Surf School was the perfect place for all of us to improve! Their instructors are knowledgeable, helpful and funny. They made learning fun and really helped our 13 year-old improve his skills. From start to finish, the staff... More
