This beach is 7km long. It is good for surfing but not for swimming - especially not for children. There is nearly no shade on this beach. For shade better go to Playa Pelada (next beach north).

Beautiful sandy beach...balmy waters...awesome waves... I would take a dip at 6:00 am and the water would be so exhilarating! Any time of the day, for that matter, the ocean was so inviting...simply irresistible!

A must visit. Surfers paradise. Kids and family loved it. As beaches should be. It's a no frills beach, bring your own everything. Towel chairs drinks shade. Whatever you need bring it, and enjoy this natural wonder.

Playa Guinness is an unspoiled beach. The sand is smooth, the ocean waters warm and shallow allowing for nice walks and wading in the water. It is also a great place to surf.

Nice clean safe beach. Surf waves depend on the time of year. Smaller waves under "head high" happen in November and December.

Great waves for novices and more advanced surfers. Small huts offer shade during the hottest part of the afternoon, but stay for sunset if you can - absolutely spectacular sunsets!

Nosara is my absolute favourite place in Costa Rica! Such a relaxed town, everyone is on bikes or quad bikes. Perfect for surfing, yoga, or just relaxing on the beach. The town has really cute boutique shops, and so many places to go out to eat. Robins is a must for ice-cream, and Soda Rosie's is great for good traditional... More
