I’ve been on other coffee tours before that we’re not even as close to as detailed in comparison to the tour at Finca ale Esperanza. Farm owner Eduardo really takes the time to show you every step of the process relating to coffee production on the farm. On top of all of that, he’s a really great guy and you can talk to him for hours. We shared some really good vibes and conversations late into the day; which began with some amazing pupusas, and finished with some very tasty desserts. Eduardo also took the time to talk about other ecology and plants, animals, that play into the coffee lifecycle on the property. The three varieties of coffee grown on the property are all very good, and you get to taste them via the pour-over method - right there at a little table on the farm. Moreover, he drove us up the Sahara Ana Volcano for some amazing views of the city of Sahara Ana and surrounding areas. He was kind enough to roast our favorite varieties that we sampled during the tour that evening, and then dropped the 1lbs bags at our hostel the next morning. Do not miss an opportunity to check out his farm! Thanks Eduardo! …

We loved this tour with Eduardo, definitely a highlight of our trip. He’s such a nice guy to chat to and you learn so much about the whole coffee process. We took our time and spent a really enjoyable morning and part of the afternoon putting the world to rights(!) He also takes you part way up the volcano which gives a fantastic view over Santa Ana. And his coffee is delicious! Highly recommend. Thank you Eduardo! …

If you are thinking of visiting Santa Ana this tour should definitely be on your list. Eduardo and Bruno picked us up from our hostel at 8am, and brought us to the farm, we started the day with some great puposas and freshly brewed coffee! The tour itself was so interesting and informative, it was clear to see the passion Eduardo and Bruno have for coffee! It was amazing to see the process that goes into harvesting the coffee, we also got to meet the staff working on the farm. It was such an authentic experience, and a great way to support a local business! We couldn’t recommend this tour enough!…

With the sole purpose of our visit being to climb the Santa Ana volcano, Finca La Esperanza Coffee Tour was a pleasantly surprising highlight of our time in El Salvador. Situated on the fertile slopes of the volcano, this coffee farm is operated by Eduardo and Bruno, two of the kindest men you'll ever meet. When greeted at our hotel and driven in the back of their pickup truck, we knew we were in for a unique experience. Eduardo provided an excellent English explanation of coffee growth, the business behind it, and his family tradition. He showcased his farm of several acres, including the numerous varieties and ages of coffee plants, his fruits, and beautiful flowers and birds. Meanwhile, Bruno captured the moment on his camera and a link to view the photos was sent via email. Afterwards, a table was prepared for us to enjoy his freshly ground coffee and local baked goods. We purchased coffee to share with our friends back home and appreciate the backbreaking labor required to produce it. Prior to our trip, we were apprehensive about our safety while in El Salvador. Eduardo and Bruno, however, have affirmed our belief that there are many good people in this world. Above all else, Eduardo's coffee, his passion, and sense of friendship transcend our differences as humans. If you are planning to visit El Salvador, you will not regret it, and this coffee tour is a must-do.…
