The Choir stalls in the cathedral in Auch are some of the best medieval carvings to be seen anywhere in the world, they are completely breathtaking and show aspects of european culture that are esoteric and fascinating.A truly Grand oeuvre.

This is one of the highlights of Auch. It's well worth spending the €2 to go inside the transept where the wonderful oak carvings are. A fantastically preserved cathedral, especially atmospheric at night.
