Very nice beach. Blue salted water, big caves, a lot of fishes. Only thing, it was a very cold wind there. But still Love it. Love Crete.

Beach, relax, and clear your mind. Plenty of bars, restaurants in the area. For a sun bed you pay € 2. Alternatively go to the local bakery for lunch and buy a drink in the super market. For parking your car, clise to the beach...More

Nice for a quick photo stop but didn't appeal to me due to business. Didn't visit the caves which might have been a nice thing to do.

Nice beach and a Nice place to visit for a night but not more. Not much to do or see and lots of tourist. Not very genuine greek. Remember to check the wind forcast before you go.

6 years came here to the Festival. But it's not only point to came here. Great views with perfect clean sea, ancient caves! Warm welcoming in each taverna & accommodation! Very nice people.

there isn't many brits but most of the Greeks speak English as do the Germans, Dutch etc

If you mean the caves of Matala beach , you can walk to them without problem.
