Even with poor weather the beach looked lovely so I can imagine it shining brighter on a glorious sunny day! Loved the islands dotting the coastline. Lots of dogs on the beach. Surf life saving races were on when we visited, great variety of colours...More

During certain summer periods there is a restriction on dogs on the beach, The beach is lovely and clean and makes for a fun day out.

One of the best beaches in Coromandel, great surfing down at the northern end, two fabulous islands just off the coast, and an interesting walk along beachfront properties. Worth a visit even on a cold, wet winter's day.

Sorry for the delay. 10 to 15 minutes along the beach. Nice flat walk easier at low tide of course
