One of the best beaches in Coromandel, great surfing down at the northern end, two fabulous islands just off the coast, and an interesting walk along beachfront properties. Worth a visit even on a cold, wet winter's day.

Such a beautiful beach. Lovely views. Easy access. Not sure how long it is but long enough to be able to go for a decent walk. Great to see so many people out there walking their dogs and enjoying it. One of my most favourite...More

Very clean beach. The locals are very friendly and nice. Good spot for relaxing and do some exercise. Awesome surf spot for all category of surfers. When there are no waves, kayaking is the best option. Kayak to the nearby islands. Good for family getaway.

...you can always find a space for you and your family on this one. Loved the sand dunes, the surf, the length of it...

We took a gentle walk along this lovely beach, right round the corner of the harbour entrance. Lovely setting. Easy parking.

We ended up staying 3 days in Whangamata but unfortunately, the weather was not enticing enough to woe us into the water. It had such a lovely vibe on the shoreline.

Enjoyed a walk watching the surfers and fossicking before stopping for a coffee. We didn't have long to spend there but would definately like to come back.

The waves looked great and its a nice long beach however we were bitten by some sort of bugs whilst we were there.

Sorry for the delay. 10 to 15 minutes along the beach. Nice flat walk easier at low tide of course
