They have an awesome little shop which has books, reasonably priced art works and hand made jewellery for sale. There are 3 galleries and we saw some superb displays, one which has been travelling NZ (Kermadecs) A really nice place to... More

A gallery that should be visited regularly. Some exhibitions may be viewed over several months, such as the history of Featherston camp, where sixty thousand soldiers were trained for the Great War. There are also short term shows, often of local artists, and occasionally featuring the permanent collections. The gallery hosts readings by well-known authors, and music recitals. This is a... More

Well worth a visit to find out about the history of the area and servicemen who had served during conflicts. Very friendly and helpful staff. Some lovely high quality hand made soldiers to buy.

Permanent exhibitions here depicting the early Wairarapa history are definitely worth viewing. A wide range of exhibitions throughout the year are changed regularly. Books and crafts available in the foyer for the discerning traveller. Toilets and cafe adjacent.

AWSM! We just love the arts and the museum of Aratoi and will continue to frequent there as much as we can because the local history is wonderful, the local artists just as impressive and the experience, hard work and artistic excellence that goes into art and museum pieces is just astounding! Thanks You!

2015 was a great year for the arts and visiting arts museums etc and this one was no different. We visited here in 2014 and 2015. And both times were absolutely marvellous.
