It is the best lake in my opinion. It is very bright light blue when the sky is blue. Best to go in morning. When we driven past in the afternoon, the light blue turquoise color has dissappeared.

It’s an stunning lake. I climbed over the rocks down to the water edge and set with my feet in the water. Just enjoying the view! You can get some nice Salmon in the shop.

A picturesque stop. A must see! We stopped at the visitor center of Lake Pulaski. The night before had had fresh snow and looking out onto the snow capped mountains over them with the beautiful blue water below is just amazing.

If heading to Mt Cook, you'll drive along the side of it, plus the road from Twizel to Tekapo passes the southern edge, which has a few points offering amazing views down the brilliant blue lake to Mt Cook.

Lake Pukaki. Breathtakingly beautiful. It's hard to find the right words to describe the beauty. I can promise you that Lake Pukaki looks much more impressive when you see it in person than it does in any photograph or video. It’s a must see in...More
