Ridiculous
Jul. 2020 • Friends
Beware of booking any concerts that could be cancelled because of Covid. You will be charged processing fees on cancelled concert tickets.
We booked a concert that was supposed to be on July 10,2020 but the venue(The Kee To Bala) cancelled due to Covid. They are charging processing fees on our refunded tickets. It’s ridiculous when not even Ticketmaster is charging processing fees. People are struggling enough without being charged additional fees on refunded tickets.

Abba..... Fantastic show

A great venue for watching live bands. Balconies offer a great view and seating... while the main dance floor is perfect to watch the band's perform. Sound system awsome.... the organizers do a great job!!!

Tradition gets a 4

I've visited the KEE at least 15 times over the last 8 years to see acts like Tragically Hip, 54-40, Blue Rodeo, Kim Mitchell, David Wilcox, Sam Roberts, July Talk, the Arkells etc etc etc. Traditional music venue is a great place to hear live music but someone PLEASE PLEASE upgrade the washrooms!!!!!

Cranberry Festival Concert
Oct. 2018 • Couples
It was a great way to cap off a visit to the Bala Cranberry Festival. Get there early, so you can get a seat up stairs if you want, bring your own cleaner and paper towel to clean of bench seats and table. That is not a joke, cleaning is at a Zero. In October it is a little cool in the building, but a jacket is fine. No leaving the building once you are in, there are NO hand stamps. Music was good, we saw "The Wheat Kings", where can you have a concert for $40.

The worst experience I've ever had entertaining a client!!! Terrible security staff!!! I took a client to see the Sam Roberts Band on Sunday as they are her favorite band. The band was a few songs into their set when my client went to use the restroom. After wondering why it was taking her so long to return I received a phone call from her telling me she had been kicked out and threatened with prosecution if she didn't leave the property. Why? Because security claimed that she was drunk. She hadn't had a single drink and as a matter of fact I was holding her water bottle as well as my own which security would not let me leave the building with. When I spoke with the security guard who removed her he said "she was swaying while standing in line for the bathroom". It's a concert for crying out loud, people tend to sway and dance. He then said that " he brought her outside and she seemed to slur some words" so he kicked her out. After speaking with security I believe he started to realize that he had made a mistake when I said that both my client and myself would submit to a sobriety test with the police officer standing right there next to us. The security guard then changed his tune and said he was kicking her out because she is "emotional" and to that point he was right! My client was humiliated and upset to the point of tears because she was thrown out of her favorite band's show for NO REASON AT ALL!!! He said he would not let us back in because she was emotional and he couldn't be held responsible for what she might do inside. Never mind the fact that hundreds of people were actually incredibly drunk, hanging from the stage, falling down, elbowing people, and spilling beer all over the place. During our short time inside we did not see one of the actual drunk people harassed by security at all. I am completely dumbfounded that this can actually happen to someone minding there own business having a good time. I am still in shock at how random and without reason this was. The security guard and the management should be ashamed of themselves for what they put this wonderful lady through! I will never return again and you should think twice before spending money on a show here because you could be next person to randomly get kicked out for having a good time.

Sheepdogs!!!!!!!!
Aug. 2018 • Couples
This was our first visit to The Kee and it will definitely not be our last! Not only were The Sheepdogs absolutely amazing but The Kee was just rocking! The atmosphere is off the hook, the sound is outstanding and you can’t help but have a great time. We lucked out and got an awesome balcony spot and had a great view of the stage. Not sure if it was the band, the venue or the people but it was an epic night that will never be forgotten!

I can't believe I have missed out on so much...should have been coming here for over 20 years! My cousins have! Where can you see awesome bands for 35 bucks without having to worry about seating, being able to get pretty much as close to the band as you want, and I met both bands I saw - went to Lowest of the Low (loved them for 26 years and such a thrill to meet them - and they gave me a set list - nice!) In July and last night we saw the Trews - and if you haven't seen them, go wherever they go - what a phenomenal performance! Met them too - holy down to earth, friendly band who genuinely love what they do - amazing! I can go on and on...free parking, massive waterside deck, the feeling like you are at camp...like don't expect amenities and air conditioning haha - stand by a window or just get into the mix and party down - there will be much more time spent here...what a brilliant venue! Oh, and the staff are top notch!
