We went through some of the experiences Anne did ie- breaking board over Gilberts head, finding mouse in cake mix. The entire museum is full of Anne and Lucy memorabilia and I... More

The Museum is filled with so much history of Anne of Green Gables and of course Lucy Maud Montgomery. A definite must if you grew up with the Canadian classic.

If you're into Anne of Green Gables this spot is definitely for you and if you're not it's still an interesting place to visit. Lots of love and care has gone into every detail. Highly recommend it.

This museum owes its existence to the vision of Linda Jackson Hutton. She and her husband Jack have worked tirelessly to create a facility that pays loving homage to the works of LM Montgomery. There is plenty for the legions of fans of Anne of Green Gables and Avonlea here, and it is in this part of Ontario that LMM... More

I must admit I am not a LMM fan, but found this to be very interesting. So much to look at and absorb. The host is very passionate and very knowledgeable. We had a great time, lots of fun being silly during a pretend tea party LOL

If you love Anne of Green Gables and want to see a huge collection of memorabilia, then this is the place for you. Lucy Maud Montgomery stayed in Bala one summer and they have this museum set up in a home where her family took their meals. Our tour guide was excellent and we really enjoyed the stories and information... More

We had a road trip to Muskoka. There were some points of interest to visit. Short walk from parking brought us to old fashioned house. All over sudden our 19 years old refused to come inside. Oh well, we've seen these types of houses before, we will go anyway without her. It seems like Linda was waiting us at the... More

The Bala Museum is a hidden treasure. Linda and Jack were wonderful tour guides - friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic. As well as experiencing some of Anne's antics first hand, we learned a lot of the history of LM Montgomery during her time in Bala and about events in her personal life that we never knew about. The Bala Museum is... More

Wonderful tour given by Stephanie, a balm after our upsetting Marriott Gravenhurst experience, special little museum! Stephanie went far and above our expectations with an hour long personal tour. She was so kind with our shy six year old as well. Must stop here
