Light House

We climbed to the top of the light house and the view was worth the effort! If you go to see the area you must visit the complex and go to the top of the light house.

Every time I go to Daytona, I go to Ponce Inlet. And I love this place. Its so peaceful and secluded compared to typical Daytona Beach. This month, I visited the lighthouse for the first time, and I LOVED it! We climbed to the top and the view was well worth the money to get in.

Love when you can learn about the history of our lighthouses!!! We were in town visiting before taking my son to camp and had the chance to kill some time and decided to see the lighthouse!!

Ponce inlet lighthouse is a short 15-20 min drive from Daytona beach....the speed limit is low that is why it takes so long. The lighthouse is quite a climb, but the reward is a 360 degree view that is GREAT. There is a small charge to go up in the lighthouse....there are several buildings to visit while on sight, too.... This is the first lighthouse in Florida that I have found allows children to climb the lighthouse. Most others have age restrictions. I was delighted to find out my 2 year old and 5 year old were able to join us. Another highlight, children under the age of Two are free! The view from the top is really incredible. I... More

There is a circular road the goes around the park. On all sides are restaurants, fishing docs, fishing boats, and of course the iconic lighthouse. There are some playground things to keep the kids busy, but it would have been better if at least one side of the park opened up to the inlet.

We enjoy bicycling down from Daytona Beach from our home on weekends or driving down to Lighthouse Point with our 2 dogs to walk and swim on the doggie beach that is a part of the complex and national seashore. It is a perfect ride for bicycling because there are excellent bike pathways or you can take the very wide... More
