Lovely afternoon spent in this park- my daughter's were delighted that they were able to feed the squirrels who were very tame and ate nuts from their hands!

This is an excellent park for wheelchairs. The paths are well maintained, but beware a little steep if you are in or pushing a manual wheelchair. The river Wandle meanders through the park, from two large ponds to a beautiful 1.5m high waterfall. The ponds...More

Beautiful rockery, plenty of open space and wildlife. The ponds are excellent and a walk down the streams will round off a day out

Fantastic little gem. Take a camera, some nuts & some duck feed (not bread). You can have a great time there. Small playground for kids towards the back but the main attraction is the wildlife.

I love this park and have gone there regularly for over thirty years - at least once or twice a month. The waterfall is Carshalton's own Schaffhausen falls and there is an old waterwheel for what was once a snuff mill.

The car park opposite the Co-op in the High Street is next to the park if you park at the back of the car park, but it is a pay and display. I used to park in Mill Lane which was free and go in the entrance by the river. I... More
the grove was very much a part of my childhood I need to research its wartime history, I remember it as a clinic for mothers and babies but think that might have been after the war.

I am from NS myself but there is a History Museum right by the park cannot remember what it is called at this moment but they have a lot of archives and should be able to help you with the research.
