We stayed here a couple of years ago and couldn't wait to return; easily the best campsite we stay at on our journey between Bilbao and St. Malo. Pitches are large and separated by a little greenery for privacy, the toilet/shower blocks are modern and cleaned regularly, and, unusually, the showers can actually be controlled for heat. There are plentiful sinks for both washing-up and laundry. The site is 5 mins' walk from the beach with its cafes and ice-cream shops, and there is a picturesque coastal walk to Palais sur mer which takes about 40 minutes. The one downside is that there is no supermarket to walk to - but it's only a few minutes' drive away. There is a small supermarket in Palais sur mer. There are also a few restaurants in the area, though we never tried these. The site is quiet and on both visits, other campers were well-behaved, with no noise at night. On one night there was karaoke coming from somewhere down the road but not loud enough to stop us falling asleep, and it had stopped by 11pm.

For me, this was one of the best campsites we had stayed on. We had stayed on about 12 since starting our adventure in February in northern Spain. Opposite the Atlantic Ocean and beautiful clean surroundngs...about a 10 minute drive from Royan. The campsite is a family run business and everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. Bathroom facilities are very clean with plenty of hot water. Tall conifer trees cover most of the site which is also very peaceful and very attractive and extremely well maintained. I can’t say enough about this site. More suited to perhaps more mature campers or those with small children.
