The fishing houses give the town a special touch, they always look so beautiful and original, nice place for a stroll around sunset.

If you don’t want to walk all the way from the city center to this beach, you can take bus #31 during the summer months (from Royan main station, multiple stops along the coast). The rock formations and the beach are nice, but not soooo...More

Fantastic rock pooling when the tides out. The rocks provide caving and shade which can be welcome. Beach is lovely and sandy but watch the underwater rocks, they're sharp. Good parking and a stroll from St Palais.

Photographers dream. Managed to see them in all lights and sea conditions. There are especially beautiful in heavier seas and if you catch the sunset behind them they look quite surreal. Well worth visiting.

A must-do for the area! The stone walled paths winding along lead to stairs and giant rocks you can climb and play on- watch the waves and boats. I think we spent an hour here (though the walk doesn't take that long)

This is a short and interesting walk from Royan centre along the promenade and coastal path with view back towards the ferry jetty and Ferris wheel. You can either walk or cycle but it is rather exposed to the sun and not much shade to...More

The whole area is fabulous especially when there is a market on, the beach here is incredible with things to do for the kids and great toilet facilities, needed when spending the day on the beach. Make sure you take plenty of beach stuff, umbrellas,...More
