There was a beautiful sea scenery to visit, and friendly people that warmly welcome us to their hostel. Don't forget to visit the biggest buddhist temple there (Puji Temple) and South Sea Guanyin statue (Nanhai Guanyin) to make your journey more interesting.

Putuo Mountain is located on an island and is filled with Buddhist monasteries. Getting to the island requires a 15-minute ferry ride. Ferries ran quite frequently and were very crowded. Once on the island, an efficient system of mini-buses takes you to the various destinations...More

Very busy, very crowded, very tiring (walking everywhere). Pretty basic for western travellers as everything is in Mandarin - but still worth the effort.

Putuoshan is an island. You can only reach there by ferry. On the island, there is only public bus but it is easy as the destinations are in English too.
